Green Materials and Manufacturing From the initial manufacturing of our ICF product to the construction site to finished structure, ECO-Block has designed its system and process to be kind to the environment. No CFCs, HCFCs or other ozone-depleting substances are used or released. Manufacturing and construction waste is minimal. Plus, ECO-Block forms are 50 percent more efficient to ship and handle than other ICFs. Also reduces in house dust activatiy and helps you live and breath a cleaner enviroment.   Recycling Virtually Soundproof   ECO-Block ICFs reduce the pressure on precious natural resources by replacing lumber used in frame construction and greatly reducing the amount of fuel needed for heating and cooling. Plus, the ICFs are manufactured using an environmentally clean process. No CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) are used or released. Also, a large percentage of the plastic webs and connectors are made from recycled material.     Walls constructed with ECO-Block Insulated Concrete Forms dramatically reduce outside noise pollution. This is just one of the comforts of living in a eco block home.   Mold and Moisture-Resistant     The indoor climate of your ECO-Block home is protected by the air and water vapor barrier qualities of the ECO-Block ICF system. ECO-Block ICFs can significantly contribute to a mold-free environment due to the inorganic nature of the material. It also creates a very tight building envelope, reducing unintentional air infiltration. In high-humidity environments, interior moisture should then be controlled through the use of spot removal (e.g., bathroom fans) and properly sized air conditioning units that will cycle on long enough to dehumidify the air.
